Wow the days are really flying by!! I can't believe Christmas is in two weeks, yikes!! Here's the recap:
Day Four, Thursday...today I went to the pilates class my trainer teaches and it was again, really awesome and really hard! :) But soooo good. Then I did my day 3 running stuff, which was eight minute intervals with a one minute rest inbetween for 40 minutes. So by the time I was done with that I had run for over 3.5 miles!! It felt really good! Then it was off to teach my final week of classes with my little kids. It was performance night, so it was a little hectic! I have 3 classes in a row so that's 3 performances pretty much back to back. We rehearsed like mad for a half-hour before with each class, and then all the parents/family came and watched them put on their final "show". It was really cute and they did great, and we all had a blast! I was of course dancing along with them the whole time, so it kinda felt like I got a little extra workout there :) Though it was fun, I do feel a sense of relief that the 12 week stretch is over and it's one less thing to plan for every week. Sometimes those kids can be such an energy drain! I think I'll be able to handle one of my own EASY after mastering keeping 12 K-2nd graders at attention and on task!! Woof.
Day Five, Friday.....today while I was eating breakfast, one of my coworkers texted me asking if I wanted to pick up an extra shift. I decided to take it, as I need all the extra money I can make with the holidays here, a vacation to San Diego in six weeks (!!!!!) and all these certification classes I want to take coming up. So it's gonna be a looong weekend with three crazy weekend shifts in a row, followed by my traditional Monday double, a lunch shift Tuesday, and an extra shift Wednesday night too! If I'm not at work or at the gym I'll be sleeping. Seriously.
Anyway, this morning I did my pilates and weights/resistance stuff at home...now that I've been taking regular pilates classes and working with my trainer, I'm starting to be able to add new stuff and change things up when I do work out at home.
Eating wise I have been much better this week at eating at regular intervals....I just need to really be faithful to writing it down/planning my meals ahead, that seems to be the key.
Also, at work tonight I had THREE people comment that they could tell I was really slimming down :) That felt great! One of my coworkers said, "I feel like you are getting smaller and smaller everytime I see you!" It is starting to be about time to get new work pants....and I just got new ones like 2 months ago...because now I am SWIMMING in them! And using my apron to hold up my pants, not good.
I also found new work shoes, so I hope that helps with my knee/foot pain after these long shifts. I put some icy hot on my bum knee tonight and hope that helps....I'm gonna run tomorrow and then it's off to another crazy Saturday night at the restaurant! For now it's off to bed...I think I'm gonna plan to sleep like 9.5 hours so my body can recover from all this.
Here's the running tally so far this week:
Cardio: 3
Resistance: 3
Pilates/Yoga: 3
Enjoy the Big Bowl Marathon! Feel the burn :)
